Our Bridge Pastsor, Rev. Laurie Lyter Bright, is a native to the north suburbs of CHicago and delighted to be back near home. Laurie's been an ordained minister since 20112, and has served as a solo pastor, a transitional minister, a youth pastor, and a chaplain resident. She's lived in Denver and Loveland, Colorado, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, Oakland, California, San Anselmo, California, Princeton, New Jersey, Balasore, India, London, UK, Vienna, Austria, and now South Milwaukee, WI. Mostly not in that order. She's completing a PhD in Education and Research Methodology through Colorado State University, looking at the intersection of religion and rape culture. Laurie is a mom to Sonora and Tillie (both under 2!), and wife to Jesse, who is completing his master in nursing at Marquette University. Laurie's first book, Vagabonding: In Defense and Praise of Millennial Faith, came out in January of 2018. Her other role is as Executive Director of Pilgrims of Ibilin, an international interfaith non-profit dedicated to building peace on desktops through intentional interfaith education in Israel and Palestine. Laurie loves the church for all its quirks and is excited to be with the Faith Presbyterian family for this part of the journey!

Joan is a wife, mom to 3 terrific kids, grandma to 6 wonderful grandchildren and a huge Green Bay Packer fan!
